A year of change

To say 2007 has been crazy would be an understatement. This has been the a year of drastic changes! Admittedly, it's been a fun adventure; not without it's ups and downs though.

This year I (Cassandra) made a huge career change. After a word from the Lord, and many confirmations to boot, I left a comfortable career in Telecom to follow God's call to full time missions with e3 Partners Ministries (http://www.e3partners.org/ OR www.staffpages.org/Cassandra.Reich). In that regard, we have been walking by faith as we fund raise, take training classes, participate in conference calls and simply get this ministry up and running. It's been fun and CRAZY all at the same time.

About a year and I half ago I felt God preparing me to leave the church we were members of. This was a big shock as Chris and I were both saved there, got married there, and grew by leaps and bounds spiritually under the direction of awesome pastor and teacher like Russ, Tony, Lindsey, Ken, Bruce, and many more! Whenever I would ask Chris if he felt the same way he would say no. So I was content to stay put. As my last assignment there I was called to lead an AMAZING group of 12th grade girls through bible study each week. Then at the beginning of this year Chris announced it was time to go. God had impressed it on his heart that we needed to leave. I was there for 12 years and Chris was there for almost 8. It was a bittersweet transition but boy were we ready for this new chapter.

Now we are at an amazing church in Powder Springs and couldn't be happier. From that experience I definitely learned that change can be awesome. We should be careful not to hold on to what we think is so great because God has something greater in store for us when He deems the time is right. Go with His flow! :)

My best friend in the whole wide world, Taz, moved to ATL and words cannot express my excitement, gratitude, and joy that she's here! It's like we never missed a beat when I left her in Philly after my family moved to ATL 12 years ago. She's an amazing woman of God and I wonder how I ever got along without her.

At the end of October we participated in our churches community outreach "Hallowed by Thy Name". It's a festival packed with rides, games and prizes. The both of us along with two good friends of ours, Eric and Paula, set up a booth equipped with Evangecubes, a tool we use on the mission field quite a bit to share Christ. We shared the gospel with 100+ people. Many were already believers but were impressed with the tool. We met youth pastors as well as other lay ministers who were interested in getting the tool for their own ministries. Best of all we were able to lead 7 people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!!! He is so good!

I think the most touching story was of a 15 year old girl named Domonique. She was there with two other teenage boys (one of them a TC member). Eric shared the EvangeCube with her and was talking to her for quite some time. The whole time she was visibly transfixed on the cube and very hungry for the message. I was able to catch the end of the conversation where Eric was asking her what was holding her back from accepting Christ. She confessed she didn't know and she seemed extremely pensive. It's almost as if you could see the warfare waging inside of her. Paula interjected trying to comfort her asking her what she had to lose. When Paula asked her if she wanted to pray she was embarrassed to admit she didn't know how to pray. She acknowledged that all she knew how to pray for was her family, their safety, and good health. Paula told her she could simply repeat after her and led her through the sinner’s prayer.

Then I witnessed the most beautiful moment of the whole night. After they prayed, Domonique opened her eyes as if in awe and she kept saying, “Wow, I feel so good. I feel so good.” She cupped her hands over her mouth and fought back tears. After a moment she moved her hands to reveal the most joyful smile I have ever seen! Her two male friends came over, gave her a hug, and congratulated her.

In November Chris and I celebrated anniversary number 4. A huge blessing considering it's been a trying year. But God is always faithful and the good news is He's molding us into His likeness daily. This year we celebrated at Sandals Whitehouse resort in Jamaica! I won this trip and the airfare on the radio last year. What an amazing blessing. I am always in awe of how God showers us with so many blessings we don't deserve.

This year was my 10year high school reunion so I flew back home to Philly with Chris the day after Thanksgiving! What an inspiring trip. Meeting up with old friends, seeing my cousins/family, and visiting my old stomping grounds!!! We had a blast. I'm so grateful for the awesome friends He's blessed me with.

THEN... Mom and I decided that we were going to celebrate our birthdays by going on a Mother/Daughter cruise! Wow! I am so glad we went. It was a time of bonding and laughter that I will never forget. I'm so blessed to have such a cool mom who knows how to have fun! We tried a different cruise line this time around. All I gotta say is the Costa Fortuna ROCKS!!! I'll be sure to visit another one of Costa's ships soon and very soon.

Tomorrow is my b-day and I CANNOT wait. We are going to get dressed up and hit the town do dinner and anything else we can come up with. Oh and of course go to Cafe' Intermezzo! WOO HOO. I am so excited about Christmas coming up. I had an awesome Thanksgiving (the best in years) and I know Christmas is going to be fantastic, too. I was recently reading a prophetic word from Kim Clement and it said:

The Spirit of God says, "I've planned a great Christmas for My people. It will be a Christmas that you'll understand where I'm taking you to in this land. The flag will fly, and men will sigh, and they will know that I am here in this land. For Christmas will be the time that I will come and show you something new. There will be miracles on every street, there will be miracles in every family, and if you look for Me, you'll find Me there. There will be miracles for every family. You will see the sign upon the tree. It will bring them together as one because of Me."

"Strongholds and forces of hell who would try and detune the pleasurable sounds of Christmas--this prophet prophesies, 'Nothing shall be successful in your attempt to bring blood over the Christmas season!' The only blood that they shall know about is the Blood of My Son," says the Spirit of the Lord. "There will be a miracle on every street. I have a miracle in every family. If you open up your eyes, you'll find Me there. There will be joy to the world. The faithful will come. Silent night will bear His only Son. I'll be there in the songs. Watch Me on the TV."
"There are so many changes coming for 2008." For God says, "The season of 2008 will bring about families being united, prisoners being freed, and drug addicts, alcoholics, atheists, and agnostics suddenly getting a glimpse of something they don't really know and cannot pronounce nor interpret--but it is Me," says the Lord. "This building is one of many that I will raise up for media."

"When I raise up the President of the United States and fill him with My Spirit, there shall be unusual happenings taking place in America. They shall say, 'Why are these unusual miracles transpiring only in certain places?'" God says, "Because if you cannot see water in the rock, your striking is in vain. If you cannot see water in the rock, your speaking is in vain. You must see what I have just pronounced today."

In the Reich household, we're getting ready for amazing manifestations! Merry Christmas everyone. Especially to our e3 partners ..you have no idea how your support has sustained us! We are so blessed to have you sowing into our lives and we know God is pouring out his blessing on your households this season and in many seasons to come!
